1. What exactly is the Jungle Selection Experience?
This is a fully immersive simulation based on Special Forces jungle training and selection, the second phase or the renowned Jungle Phase of the UK's Special Forces Selection. You’ll be living in the jungle, learning how to survive, move, and operate under real pressure — guided by former Special Forces instructors - BADGED - not bullshitters!

2. How long does the experience last?
The experience runs for 12 days total, including 4 days deep in the jungle and a day on the weapons range, followed by travel and decompression days.

3. What makes this different from a regular survival course?
This isn’t just about learning bushcraft. It’s about mental resilience, leadership, teamwork, and pushing through discomfort — the same traits that define elite soldiers. In addition you are mentored by an elite team of men that have proved themselves repeatedly not only in the military but on their continued path. They are by no means a benchmark of their past but a shining example of the future.

1. How many people will be on this event?
There is space for a maximum of 15 candidates. This is not only for logistical reasons but also for the fact we want to ensure we have a 1:5 instructor/candidate ratio, similar to Special Forces Selection.

2. Who will be in my team?
We will operate as a full group but will be broken into three teams of five. We will be changing the team composition and instructors from time to time, so you get the most from the experience. All candidates are vetted for the value they bring to the team. Be prepared to make friendships that last well beyond the event.

1. What level of fitness is required?
You don’t need to be a triathlete, but you do need to be in good physical condition and mentally prepared. Expect daily treks, carrying weight, and working in heat and humidity.

2. How can I prepare beforehand?
We’ll send you a pre-deployment fitness protocol once you’ve secured your place, focused on endurance, strength, and heat conditioning.

3. Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes — as long as you’re willing to challenge yourself. This isn’t about beating others; it’s about pushing your own limits.

Q: What level of fitness is required for the Jungle Expedition?
The jungle is a physically demanding environment. You’ll be trekking for hours each day in heat and humidity, carrying kit, climbing, crawling, and moving through uneven terrain. A strong baseline of endurance and functional strength is essential.

Q: How can I test my fitness level before joining?
We ask all participants to complete a Baseline Fitness Test to ensure they’re training regularly and ready for the physical challenges ahead. This isn’t a Special Forces test - it’s a simple check to confirm that your body is prepared to handle the environment.

Baseline Fitness Test

1️⃣ Run Test (choose one):

• 3km run – under 18 minutes

• 5km run – under 30 minutes

Demonstrates aerobic fitness and your ability to sustain effort in heat and humidity.

2️⃣ Strength & Core Test (2 minutes per exercise):
Rest 1 minute between each movement. Maintain correct form throughout.

Measures upper body endurance, core stability, and leg strength for carrying loads and moving across uneven terrain.

3️⃣ Optional Challenge (for extra confidence):

• Plank hold: 2 minutes minimum

• Loaded carry: 400m carrying a 10–15kg pack, no rest

Q: What’s a pass mark?
If you can meet or exceed the minimum targets above without stopping, you’re in the zone.
The goal is to confirm that you’re training consistently and physically capable of the demands ahead. The fitter you are, the more you’ll thrive, not just survive in the jungle.

1. Where exactly is the location?
We operate in a controlled jungle environment in Indonesia, used for authentic Special Forces training. Exact coordinates are shared only with confirmed participants.

2. How safe is it?
All activities are supervised by experienced former Special Forces personnel and local guides. Risk assessments, medical protocols, and emergency evacuation procedures are in place.

3. Will there be medical support?
Yes, a trained medic will be embedded with the team, and all staff are first-aid certified.

4. What kind of wildlife will we encounter?
This is the jungle - expect insects, leeches, snakes, and the full natural ecosystem. You’ll be briefed on how to stay safe and respect the environment.

1. What equipment will I need to bring?
We provide full kit as part of the package for the Jungle Phase apart from your clothing. We will send a full kit list. In addition to your expedition type clothing, expect to bring holiday orientated clothing for the final phase of the event. Specialist gear (machetes, weapons, etc.) will be provided. We will be conducting zoom meeting to fully brief on the items required.

2. Can I bring my own weapons or gear?
Definitely not. Even if you did make it through customs, all weapons and tactical equipment are provided and must remain under instructor supervision. Safety is of paramount importance.

1. Do I need prior weapons experience?
No experience required — you’ll be trained from scratch in safe weapon handling, firing positions, and marksmanship.

2. What weapons will we use?
A wide selection of standard issue rifles and sidearms used by modern Special Forces. Full details are given during the safety briefing.

1. Do I need a visa for Indonesia?
Most nationalities can enter on a visa-on-arrival, but you must check entry rules for your country. We’ll assist with documentation.

2. Are flights and transfers included?
International flights are not included. Local transfers from the designated meeting point are covered. Meeting point is The main airport for Jakarta is Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).

3. Do I need insurance?
We provide you with full insurance that covers all main events including but not limited to:

• All medical expenses
• Operations
• Vehicle crashes
• Medicines
• Dentistry from an accident
• Helicopter rescue
• Repatriation

1. What is the cost of the experience?
Pricing is outlined on the main page and includes accommodation, food, instruction, local transport, and specialist gear.

2. What is your refund policy?
Your payment covers an on boarding call which will be scheduled immediately to discuss your suitability. If for any reason this trip is not a fit for the candidate or from the candidates perspective, we will refund the full amount without question. This is limited to seven days post on boarding call. Beyond that and due to limited spaces and extensive logistics pre planning, we do not offer refunds. Upon booking your accommodation and other assets are secured, if cancelled we do not get these refunded. Your booking may be transferred to our wait list dependant on timing and availability. 

2. Can I pay in instalments?
Yes - we offer structured payment options to secure your place. Should you wish to pay in instalments their will be an admin fee for this. The payment plan is 50% Deposit + Two instalments. Final payment must be paid two months prior to departure.
